Walk-through

How a top-up actually moves.

Five short sections from the moment you open the form to the moment the funds land on the contactless transit card.

1

You type a card number

Ten digits on the back of the card. The field formats itself into 0000 0000 00. Nothing is sent yet — the page is still local.

2

You pick a card type and an amount

Silver, Personal or Gold. A preset between 5 and 200 AED, or a custom value up to 500 AED. The amount is stored only inside the page.

3

Submit redirects to the payment companion

The page builds a short request — amount, currency, order ID, card number, type — and redirects to pay.dubaicardrefill.org. The card data is collected there, on the payment processor side.

4

Card is approved

Visa or Mastercard 16-digit credit/debit. The processor validates the card, runs the charge and returns either a success or an error.

5

Funds are credited to the transit card

On success the top-up request is queued with the card balance system. Settlement usually completes within three minutes. Heavy maintenance windows can stretch it to an hour. After that, contact support with the order ID and we trace it.

What we do not do

What is explicitly not part of the flow

  • We do not create a user account. There is no login, no profile, no balance ledger.
  • We do not store card data. The Visa/Mastercard PAN never reaches our server.
  • We do not issue or replace cards. For a new physical card, visit a vending machine in Dubai.
  • We do not refund partial trips. Once funds are on the transit card, only the transport network can spend them.
